XPS Gen2 and HD PAL TV

I want to plug my laptop into my HD PAL TV via the monitor lead (my panasonic telly has the appropriate socket). The 6800 Ultra in my antiquated XPS Gen2 (running on Forceware version 81.97) doesn't supply the outgoing signal in the correct resolution - would there be an updated driver or additional software which would do the job?

I just want a better picture than I'm currently getting on my 1080p telly....

Update your drivers and possibly get the latest coolbits? Not too sure. I STILL have 84.69, but thats just cause 94.22 gave me issues and I HATE the new control panel...grr. But in mine I used coolbits and I have some options for tv stuff, like forcing tv detection, not providing overlay for external monitors, setting default resolutions for externals, etc. might help.
