45" charger instead of 65W

Hi,

My laptop charger (Acer Aspire 5720) has broken and I have ordered a replacement.

The original one is 65W, however until the replacement arrives the only one I can bowwow is 45W.

Can I use this without the battery in (to stop it charging it and therefore reduce power consumption) or is 45W not enough to power it at all?

It should work, leave the battery in and let it charge completely while off. Then use the charger full time.

The lower watts should be ok to run and charge at same time, but it will just do it slower.
