M7700 Video Card Upgrade?

Thread Starter
I picked up my dream laptop (of 5 years ago) today. I bought it for 250 bucks. Its the M7700, it has a 3.8 Ghz P4, 3 gbs of ram, dual 100 GB Hard drives in raid0 and a 6800 Ultra video card. I was curious if the video card could be swapped for a mobile version of the 7800 or 7900. Iv seen the m7700 with those cards and didnt know if the motherboard would be different or if these cards are even removable. Im sure I can find the card on ebay possibly I just wanted to make sure it could be upgraded before I searched.

You will be able to upgrade your laptop, however to install another video card you will need a motherboard v6.1 or newer and the 220w power supply rather than 180w.
