5790 questions

So it's been 2.5 years since I got my sager 5790 (yeah the first one in the series) and it's time to finally throw some upgrades on it. However I'm hitting this wall of problems. Since I'm not all that proficient in computer hardware I'm having a hard time figuring out how I can actually make those upgrades. My current goal is to replace my CPU (T7100 1.8 core 2 duo). Issue is I don't know which CPU to buy that would actually fit my mother board...and I don't even know how to find out which board I have. If anyone can point me in the right direction and let me know of the things needed in order to perform such upgrades that would be greatly appreciated.

You should be able to install a T7500/T7700 with no issue with your PM965 chipset.

would that be a mobile processor or the one that fits both desktop/laptop?
