It looks nice, but the CPU is a bit dated... Compare it to others ie the acer aspire 5740G which has the latest i5 intel cpu in it, but thats one thing to think of, other things to consider are
Screen size - blu ray is good, but only really good on a screen size over 22" (in my view, everyone will have their own opinion of this), so an HD out port is a must and they come with most new laptops...
CPU - Get the newest you can afford on a new laptop... If you want to watch blu ray on the laptop, play games, edit video, do heavy multi tasking, the intel i3 and above is a must...
RAM... 4Gb minmum these days...
Hard drive - 500gb minmum these days.. SATA and 7200rpm preferable... SSD are good, but they are not cheap and oddly there is still uncertainty about life span....
And all the other gubbins that comes as standard or should do these days such as wifi b-g-n, bluetooth, webcam, speakers etc...
Other things too look at are battery life, how good the screen is to view, USB3, 2ndary hard drive slot and how cool it runs at, and you learn this by reading reviews....
Hope this helps....
