How to insert a Memory Stick Pro Duo card in my Asus laptop.

Hi,

I have an Asus X83V laptop. I recently purchased a Sony camera which uses Memory Stick PRO Duo flash memory cards. It says next to the card reader on my laptop it supports Memory Stick, but it's smaller than a SD card so I it can't be put in there. Is there some kind of adapter needed? If so shoulld it have come with the computer? Since I do not have the manual I am not able to figure this out. I am able to download pictures using USB, but it's faster using the built in card reader so I would like to be able to do that.

You need an adaptor, cheapest option is a USB card reader that supports it...

Thanks. But do you know why it says next to the reader on the laptop that memory stick is supported?

Take a look in the slot. I'd guess there's a section that's deeper than the rest for memory sticks.

I am sure that it only offers support Memory Stick Pro and "not" Memory stick pro DUO. My Z83V is collecting dust at the moment due to a dead mobo

cheers ...
