Upgade BIOS

Hi, i need to upgrade the bios on my toshiba, have downloaded the update from toshiba but there is no iso file, just one file, i cannot install windows xp as it says bios needs upgrading, i have a program ready to burn iso file to cd but what and where is the iso file i need....Its a sat pro A60 PSA65E....help much needed..Chris

Why would XP requires a BIOS update of this system came with XP from the very beginning?

Can you give us the link to the BIOS file?

Hi, i dont no why it asks me to upgrade the bios, maybe because the bios version is 1.70, the thread is

and follow the drop down menu
you will end up with the 1.90 WIN version, then if you download it you will see there is only one file.

I see. That's a ZIP file. You need to extract it to a folder and run the app within Windows.

I know its a zip file, i have unzipped it and there is only one file...how can i run it in windows if i cannot install windows because it needs the bios updating..!!!
This is why i am posting the question, i need a ISO file so i can run the update before installing windows....

If you look at the page you gave me, there are options that you can download to create either and ISO or a floppy boot disk. Use one of those.

Chris, my apologies. I could not find what I mentioned either going back to the page I could have been mistaken with another reply in the forum.

Back to your issue. Your system came stock with XP, why is it that it is now blocking you from installing this OS?
