Dell xps m1710 screen...backlight, really lights up... HELP

Hello,

Is this the backlight? i hot glued the connector and wires in the socket into the inverter....?

I have replaced the inverter AND the flex cable (yes, the part numbers are right)

I have to shake or pressure point the left-middle of the screen for it to stop otherwise it stays unreadable...

when i hook it up to an external monitor... no problem! i have a Nvidia go 7950 GTX so it's not a video card issue...

i have a youtube link for more details and live Depression

If i left out any details just ask

Thank you,

Mattaz

it is most likely the LCD display, you have pretty much eliminated the other items

using HOT glue might've screwed smth up. next time just use double adhesive tape. Might need ANOTHER inverter and cable. Hopefully it's not the screen.

From movie looks like problem is between lcd and video card.
Could be a broken wire or socket connector problem.
Take a look on google about "LVDS cable" (just to see how it looks) and check if is firmly inserted into lcd connector.
