Recently, notebooks with apparently new AMD graphics cards were announced. However, AMD revealed on their website that the ATI Mobility Radeon 530v, 540v, & 560v are all based on the HD 4xxx series (from last year) and not the current 5xxx series.
It seems that AMD's ATI graphics division believes they can get some more business by renaming their previous graphics cards and hoping nobody will pay attention. This has, of course, been Nvidia's standard operating procedure over the last few years, with the current 3xx series mobile graphics cards being simply rebadged and slightly higher clocked 2xx series cards. Still, it was hoped that AMD would keep themselves above this kind of thing.
