3 LCDs (2 new), and they all come up with the same exact display and colours. External monitor works fine. Cable and inverters are being replaced as well.

Definately cable I would say, it doesn't look like anything else.

Does your cable go to the mobo first THEN the gpu or right to the gpu...or are u integrated and not mxm (boo if you are).

I replaced "all" the cables even swapped out the board that connect first to the cable and then to the board. Resolutions are correct with drivers. I even swap out the whole LCD panel with one I know that works.

It's like a '70s hippie desktop theme.

Could be a bad connector on the system board.

I will be taking it apart again and go through each and every step. Strange that it just happened out of the blue.

Does this happen when you connect to an external monitor?
Was the vid dedicated on that or integrated.
Being asus, I'd say mxm therefore dedicated.

Well you know the saying in the fast moving notebooks world Off the shelves after one month (or is it day?) it is already "old"

Anyway I fixed the problem. There are 2 LCD connectors in this model. The one that goes directly to the mobo had some loose soldering (2 spots). It is back in business.

How on earth did you fix it, resoldering the connection to the mobo? Using a heat gun? Hair dryer? or did you just resolder some wires that looked frail?

Just solder iron tip, hitting "all" the connector joints at the board. And pray.
