Audio on the 172s FX? Speakers do not get very loud at all.

I got the drivers off the gateway website here. The sound on it is not very good. I can turn up the volume all the way and it still does not get very loud. The audio on my e1705 was way better. Using Vista Home Premium 64. There are the drivers I am using.

Audio on my 7811FX is not so great either, but then I hardly ever pay attention to notebook audio unless certain models boast it in the adverts

Yeah I just figured there might be a driver that would make it a little better. I could just use headphones then. Thanks.

Yep. A good headset is a good companion for all notebooks, I think. The way the speakers are being lay out the sound would be drowned in the an open environment.
