Odd keyboard problem

Thread Starter
I recently had to replace my D901C keyboard. When I installed the new one, I discovered that several keys had incorrect mappings, ie: the "e" key would type out an "r" and so on. In addition neither shift key works and the left ctrl and alt keys do not work either. Ditto for the numpad 1,2,3 keys, and f10 key.

Did I just get a faulty keyboard?
Any advice?

Possibly, if its a different make and it was forced in this might happen. I got a shift key problem when I had the ribbon in on a slight angle. Put the ribbon back in making sure theres no kinks anywhere and make sure its right in the grooves its supposed to be in and that the contacts are all touching before locking. That solved my issue.
