Dell Exchange - New i3-350M processor

Thread Starter
I had a Studio Notebook 1555 and it had major freezing problems.

Dell has offered to exchange it. I'm hoping you guys can comment on the following changes and if much better than the former
  1. Is the i3-350M processor much better and faster than the P8600 Core 2 or no real difference
  2. Will the 6GB DDR3 1066 be much better than DDR2 800
  3. The new wireless router is a Centrino Advanced N-6200 and I had the WiFi 5300 before
  4. The video card is Intel HD Graphics compared to the Intel 4 Series Express set
Please comment on these four changes, it would be appreciated.

2) and 4) would be better than before.

3) depends on the whole environment, better card does not always translate to better connection

1) hmmm,

i3-350M vs p8600

what does that mean "hmmm" is the i3-350M not much better than the core 2 p8600. The dell guy said that it is much better in every respect, especially that it has 4 threads. First he tried to tell me it is a quad core.

hmmm = hard to tell.

core i3-350M (2.26Ghz) is newer, supposedly running cooler than p8600 (2.40Ghz). And cheaper for Intel to make. I personally do not see much difference except for core i3 being newer

thanks Guys, I guess I complained enough and they have agreed to provide the
i5-430M (it has the turbo). I'm assuming it has to be noticably better than both the P8600 and I3-350M? Right.

It's better in every way it could be better.
No worry.
I'm jealous of your ddr3.
