Asustek Computer announced its notebook product lineup for the second half of 2010, including the U-Bamboo and NX/N/U series.

The U-Bamboo series notebooks features a chassis made of bamboo and will be available on the market in mid-June, in 13.3-, 14.1- and 15.6-inch models. The series uses Intel's Core i5-450M processor, Nvidia GeForce 310M 1G graphics card and features USB 3.0 support with pricing of NT$40,900-42,900 (US$1,288.2-1351.2).
Why would I want to pay over 1K for "bamboo"?
