There is a sale going on @ Dell.com for the M11x Alienwares. It ends on 5/30.

The good thing is that you can use the coupon code that I posted on the forums, Dell General. The coupon is stackable and you can use it to get a nice deal.

Cheers!

Since it ends on May 30th, I think that is doubtful.

I personally see nothing wrong with the current generation (R1 if you will) It's been a great little laptop and now that I've added the ASUS Slim External Blu-Ray Drive it's amazing.

I love that setup. All black and shiny! It is pretty amazing of what the MX11 can do. Obviously, you are saving a lot of space with that setup and have more room to pile on your desk.

Thanks.

I will say though that it suffers a little bit when trying to encode videos, so replacing a full-fledged DTR or a multi-media system with the M11X is not my ultimate aim for this laptop. I plan on getting a larger laptop for all of my music/video encoding, etc eventually.

But in the meantime it's awesome to have this portable system.

It's pretty damn cool: I have a nice sounding system for games and movies- especially Blu-Rays.

I just noticed that you had Independence Day on Blu Ray on the player. How is it on Blu Ray? I'm usually hesitant to purchase Blu Ray for older movies because I am not sure if they filmed it with Blu Ray cameras back in those days...

Will Smith: Welcome to Earth, *****. That is what I call a close encounter.

As a matter of fact, I overlooked the website again. This time all Alienware models are discounted (Mx11, Mx15, Mx17)! Then, you add the coupon code, which is extra $50 for < $1K or $100 for > $1K. I need to get a real job!! =/

Independence Day is awesome on Blu-Ray. I recommend picking it up, if possible.
