Vista upgrade

Hello,
I have Toshiba Satelite A200-237 with Windows Vista instaled.
Will my laptop work with Windows 7 because I can't find all necesary drivers such as touchpad, wierles etc.
I can only find Vista drivers for some components.
What should I do? Are there any other model drivers complementary with this one?
Thank you.

I would not think that you will have issues with Windows 7 upgrading from Vista platform. Just let Windows 7 picking up the needed drivers when on line. Or you can download a Windows 7 upgrade adviser, run it and let it pointing you to where to get the drivers. Have fun.

Do I need to select Upgrade in instalation menu or Instal a clean copy of windows?

I always prefer "upgrade" whenever possible. Better to keep what you have intact and not bothering so much with digging drivers and re-installation of apps.

Yeah, you dont want to lose the "restore partition" in case you have to go back...or did you make your restore cd's...regardless, the restore partition is always nice to have

^^ Agreeing with ya, recovery disks and partition can really save the day when needed. And one never knows when it is being needed

Doesnt Toshiba have a restore tool like Toshiba Restore or something in the programs which gives you an opportunity to make your restore DVD..There should be some mention in your User Handbook....I would suggest making your Vista Restore DVD before you do the upgrade

Yes I have Vista restore DVD but that disk recovers my laptop to factory setings and files on both partitions are deleted and merged into one C:/

Recovery partition is usually hidden, you might have to look closely to see it. As long as you have recovery disks to set the system back to original state, you are set.
