Dell D620 - Loud Motherboard Speaker

Thread Starter
I have a Dell D620, and whenever there is an error message in windows, just your usual program error, or when you're using remote desktop, and the server gives you an error message (I have it set not to bring sounds back to my laptop), the onboard motherboard speaker makes a really loud 'beep'.

This wouldn't be a problem, but I'm in an office, and it's a huge inconvience, since it happens a lot when you enter wrong credentials or something like that.

Things I've tried....

1. No BIOS settings (Updated BIOS to latest A10)
2. TWeak UI to disable 'beep on error' in windows
3. Remote Desktop (Change to NOT bring back sound)
4. Muted and Unmuted the actual speakers

I've done all this, and i'm still having this problem. Help desk can't help me, and says it's normal, but I can't continue like this. Please let me know what I can do.

Thanks

Fixed the problem by disabling a device called "beep" in device manager.

Go to the control panel.
Select 'Sounds and Audio Devices'.
Here you can change the sounds the system makes when different events take place.
You can also adjust system volume.
