I just got my M11x two weeks ago, and I am loving it. I am not bummed out by this upgrade as I would not have been able to afford it. I also have the benefit of having two months or more of extra use over all thsoe who are now waiting until July/August. Plus the newer more powerful ones may not have the battery and cooling benfits that mine do. Oh and mine works, the new ones may have problems, you know the old saying, "a bird in hand..."

The same thing happened last year for the M17x, though it was 8 months later for R2 not 4. I was kinda bummed but realized how fantastic mine was and lal the use I got from it for over half a year, so the trade off was fine.

Since I purchased my first laptop in 1993, there have always been upgrades, sometimes with in a few months and many people get sad or mad or sell their relatively new one for the R2 but what is the point, I ask you? I mean eventually you will get a new computer so why not enjoy the one you have especially if it is performing so well, as mine have
Soft touch black means that it is not glossy on the chassis. It is matte black and thus does not show fingerprints as badly. All systems have some problems with new tech. You can justify to yourself all the reasons it is better for you to have the R1, but in 6 months... Who really cares either way? It all comes down to Performance over time.
