Good ~12" laptop for movies, web, etc?

Hey guys,

Can anyone recommend some good laptops around 12" good for watching movies / tv and using the web with a good processor (pref. dual core), good battery life (8 hrs+) but still be lightweight and portable?

I'd like something with all of the typical options.. HD output would be good and a webcam, bluetooth, decent video card (i hate choppy video), card reader.

I was just looking around and saw some Acers looked decent. Hows their Aspire 1810 series?

What else would you recommend? thanks.

Heck, my good old MSI MS 1013 can do just everything as OP wants - minus battery life

And yes, ACER (and ASUS) does have some good machines at decent prices at the moment.

While I will highly recommend my Alienware M11X (It's awesome for Blu-Rays ) I can also say look at the Acer's and if 13" is within your range of possibilities look at the ASUS U30Jc.

I'm actually still having trouble finding one of these I like. I think id like to have the i3 process to sort of future proof the purchase.. unless you guys think a 1.3ghz core 2 duo is good enough?

About the 12" vs 13" thing.. im not sure. how much different are they?

Any other specific recommendations? Would be great if Amazon had it too.. wanted to buy it in the next day to get overnight shipping and here by Saturday. Thanks!

except a lot of the reviews say that the mouse click buttons suck, the screen is very glossy (i hate that!), and theres no HD (im not sure if i will actually care about this or not but its nice to have). Plus I dont know if that processor is any good.. the 1.3ghz core 2 duo SU7300.

You meant no "optical" drive? Most manufacturers are doing away with the optical drive in the sub 12" models. The SU7300 is not a bad processor to be used in the netbooks in order to get long battery life.
