Hi,
I have a strange issue with my M17x.Well,sometimes,at least several times a day, when I go and click on a link like to check my mail on MSN,my screen would go blank and flash on and off or just stay blank.Or sometimes, the screen would go back on but I get a message box says that the Nividia driver crashed and the system recovered.
Other times, when the screen goes blank,I will have to do a force shut down by holding the power button down since CONTROL ALT DELETE would not do nothing.
When I play MW2,I have no issues like that except when the fan kicks on high,I get some momentary lag.
I use stock Dell/Alienware drivers for Windows 7 64 bit.
I have loaded Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate installed from a Alien ware recovery disc.
I have tried all various drivers and see the same issues.
Any ideas?
Very annoying after spending $2,700 on a system I have this issue with.My older now sold M1730 never had this issue.
My video card is the Nvidia 280 GTX dual SLI.
Do I have a defective video card?Should I contact Dell and have them replace my video card?
Thanks in advance for my ideas or help.
