LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), is the LCD screen. TFT (Thin Film Transistor). STN color LCD and TFT mainly divided into two kinds, of which TFT (Thin Film Transistor) LCD, also known as active-type electric crystal thin-film transistor liquid crystal display, which is known by many people’s true color LCD display; DSTN (Dual -Scn Twisted Nematic) LCD, dual-scan LCD screen that is. TFT screens (also called "active" screens) generally deliver better colors and faster response times than passive screens, so they're in all the notebooks that I'm aware of. Many notebooks are also using screens with backlighting customized for increased brightness with less energy cost - LED (light emitting diodes), WLED (white light emitting diodes), RGBLED (red, green, and blue light emitting diodes), and OLED (organic light emitting diodes) technology can allow increased brightness and sometimes superior color saturation and evenness when compared to standard compact fluorescent backlights.
