My M15x Benchmarks!!

OCZ doesn't support HDTune so I submitted it with ATTO. OCZ has even mentioned that other benchmarking tools for their drives can cause damage. So here is my disk benchmark....

Impressive numbers there NWGuru.

Do you have more info regarding benchmarking tool that can cause damage to a disk (OCZ)? In what way do they mean by it?

From reading on their forums it made it sound like any benchmark besides ATTO can cause issues with the drives. They go as far as recommending doing a HDD erase on it to remove data that the benchmarks write to the disk. Seemed a little odd to me.

I wonder if this has to do with the life of the drive that can be influenced due "heavy" read/write from benchmarking tools. Just a wild guess but it is odd indeed that data written to disk would cause issue.

I'm hoping I will be able to do more benchmarking this coming weekend. 4th of July weekend was cut short because of work problems....
