Hi
I still owe an ancient Alienware m7700 notebook (P4 560, Prescott, 3,6 ghz & 6800 go), but father time drained almost the life out of it. My monitor has a lot of dead pixels (still working), my RAID controller broke down (so I'm using an external USB Hard disk with a modded Windows XP on it).
But recently, my keyboard didn't work anymore. I solved that by using a PS/2 External Keyboard, but it lacks one thing: the FN button. I used the FN+F2 frequently for adjusting the fan control to my needs, but now it 's gone. It's not really a "big" problem as I use some software to let me control the fan & clock speed.
It's more of a 'cosmetic' issue that I'm trying to emulate the FN button my my external keyboard but google showed me that each manufacturer uses his own instruction set for dealing with FN buttons.
So I'm asking to my fellow D900T users if they could provide me what the FN button stands for (for example in SharpKeys), so I can use it without the hassle of having to adjust everything in software.
