Area 51 m7700 IDE to SATA Hard Drive Swap

So recently I replaced the rev 5.3 mobo in my old Area 51 m7700 with a new rev 6.2 mobo and new video card. Along with the mobo and vid card, I ordered a SATA cable for this lappy to replace the original PATA/IDE hard drives with SATA hard drives. I just recently installed the new hard drives and booted it up...well, attempted to anyway. The laptop stops at the hard drive detection screen and states "Warning - The BIOS does not find proper hardware configuration, Please check your system!" I wanted to enter the BIOS but this screen prevents me from doing so. Anyone know what the problem might be? The newer hard drives are both Seagate: Primary - 200GB 7200RPM SATA. Secondary - 500GB 5400RPM SATA. Oh yeah, not trying to use these in a RAID config either, just separate drives, one for Windows and Apps, the other for storage.

Thanks for any help!

Can you put the old PATA drive back, going into BIOS set up first before swapping the drvive?

LOL I figured it out. Apparently the HDD I purchased from Ztronics was defective. I hooked the HDD up to a USB adapter and the HDD makes strange noises like the motor inside is trying to start but it just doesn't want to... Time to RMA... Thanks for the help!
