SSD in a Sager 4750?

I'm interested in breathing new life into my 5-year-old Sager 4750, and am wondering if adding an SSD and upgrading to 2 gigs of RAM might really help it out.

I've tried googling as well as searching this forum, and can't find a lot of information about people who may have tried this upgrade.

Anyone know if this is even doable? It seems I need an Ultra ATA SSD, which I believe is the same as PATA, yes?

Newegg has some PATA SSDs, and so I could get a 32GB for $115 or 64GB for $195.

Any thoughts?

I would personally stay with upgrading ram and a 7200rpm drive in this model. Not sure about those Pata-SSD drive, pretty good price from Newegg I must say, got a link?

Impressive pricing. If it works - BIOS is always a concern - go for the 64GB.
