i wouldn't say is stupidity the reason, i said is because the pronuntiation is really diferent, for example, while i was in the US, a whole year, very few people [if any] managed to say my name right, my name is Esteban btw, they would go something like Estaban or so, is more dificult to pronunce while writing, but thats my point, if they do change thier names is gotta be because they dont want you misspronuncing them, and may be even coursing if you say something wrong, who knows, for example this one brasilian kid i meet his name was kaka, and as it sounds in spanish it means Sh*t, so that could be the reason.......

People from different cultures do admire Western names and they don't make fun out of anything that's English. While trying to make a living, they learn a new language in order to serve us better. So, please don't make it more miserable than it already is. And believe me, it's not easy to learn English at all.

We should limit our discussions/opinions about issues that are other than Dell's.

Shuzz i know just what u mean about ''Kaka". i speak spanish myself and that would be funny if i was to call dell and have someone say"thank you for calling dell my name is KAKA how can i help you". I work in a call center. we hire a lot of hispanic people because of there bili. some of them are from Colombia and the dominican Republic and some of them have weird name so we tell them to avoid 3 min converstaion on just the customer trying to mention ur name just say a name that would be easy to say. I have a name called estaban but that is just way it sound if u was to say it with an english acsent. Well my name is Danilo but i was always called Danny so i only use my real name when it is really need. not cuz people can say my name but just cuz im use to people calling me Danny. so i think that is the reason y they use different names.

I'm glad my name is normal. I've never met anyone who can't say "Chris."

Seriously, I think that hard to pronounce/foreign names are cool, cause you just laugh at someone trying to say it wrong.

Your Master's Degree must be in Pronunciation, instead of Punctuation:
Masters: instead of Master's
lot's: instead of lots
No, really, the proper use of the apostrophe is a mystery.

I'm probably going to get the 8600, but I want to wait until closer to September to buy (so I can get the best technology). That and my parents wont give me the money for one yet.

Yes, I have a Masters, unfortunatly I don't have my degree in typing.
And looking at the original post I was replying to, at least I'm trying to spell my words out instead of using lazymans' internet shortcuts for words.
Masters is correct in its' spelling. It is a Master degree. Masters for short. There is no Master is, which is what you get when you spell it the way you do (Master's). And yes, lots' or lot's. In todays lazy gramatical society both are accepted to mean the same thing. Even though lots' is possesive and lot's means lots is. Also, have you noticed how 3 sentences ago I started it with the word and? Years ago you were not allowed to start sentences with the word and(or Or or But or....). But today you are. The english language is becoming a very lazy thing. It may not have come across, but I wanted to show how I am very tired of "Americans" being lumped into one lazy ignorant nation, when clearly there are some of us who strive to be better than we are at all times.
Good day.
