Intel i7 x40 series on the M17x - When?

The M15xs already have the 740s and the 840s but the M18xs are still on the 720s and the 820s. When will there be an update? I'm looking to get an M17x but don't want to miss the update by a few days or even a few weeks.

They should be out soon, they been released in some other Countries from what I have read

Do you know the usual time lag? I'm hoping to order one within the next two weeks. In fact the 5% off coupon only lasts till the 30th.

More than 10%?

Best bet would be to call up EPP with 10% in mind and give them comparably spec'd systems that may be cheaper. The Asus G73 is a good start for a comparison.

You'd need to become more educated on the specs and price differences otherwise you won't have much of an argument.

Okay so I emailed them saying the G73 and the asus gaming computer are much cheaper for similar specs and he asks to call but I'm traveling and can't take a phone call.

Also, thanks so much for the coupon! If I can't talk to him without the phone, I guess I'll bite the bullet and get EPP and $100 off. Now my only problem is when the i7 840 will be out because it's bound to be out soon and I don't want to somehow get shafted by a few days.

Yeah lol I did wait. I needed it delivered exactly on the 14th so I couldn't order earlier anyway.
