Something went terribly wrong.
I have an Alienware Area-51 M15x with a NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT. Today, since it's been a while, I decided it was time to update my drivers.
To make a long story short, I followed the update thread (the one that details how to correctly install/uninstall drivers) but ended up being unsuccessful.
The main problem is this: Whenever I start up my laptop, there is a LaunchManager that pops up that shows me some system specifications. Usually, it will say what the computers name is, how much ram I have, what my video card is etc. After the install, however, the part that details what video card I have is no longer there.
I tried to run the install on the drivers I had before, with no luck. Did I delete something really important on accident? The only thing that I uninstalled was 'NVIDIA Drivers', just like the thread says to. Has anyone else been through something like this, or knows how to revert my mistake?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
