looks like a Littitude E6500 laptop,

the only thing I am not sure of is the GPU your getting

Over all it looks to be as good or better

Better Display
Larger HD 250GB
Windows 7 OS
Better Battery
Much Better memory 4 Gb Vs 1 GB and much faster memory

Thanks for replying and I got the laptop today. The gpu is NVIDIA Quadro NVS 160M. They didn't tell me the mb...unless this only comes in one memory size?

Also, can you explain how my display is better? My new one's resolution is 1280X800 and the old one is 1680X1050. Also, I have more memory (250 vs 100) but a slower RPM (5400 vs 7200). Does it make a difference?
You might have lower resolution but better back-lit display. Bummer though, I would prefer a higher resolution screen myself. Lower RPM could be an issue in IDE format, but with SATA you probably would not notice the difference.

cheers ...

I would have just let it go, but the screen resolution's difference is annoying, especially when I was tinkering with it yesterday. I caved and contacted Dell. They're going to send me another replacement. I might have to post again with the new specs. So, if you guys can help me check it out, that would be awesome!
no problem

and I agree the screen resolution was a set back

2 things ... This E6510 comes with 3 choices in the screen resolution, what I read here you would get the low 1366 x 768 - I could be wrong. There is no mentioning about the Video card, and this model comes with either Intel HD or 3100M

cheers ...

It arrived today and the video card says Intel(R) HD and the resolution it is set on is 1600X900, which is the highest it goes. Is the video card not as good as the Nivdia quadro NVS 160m? I think they gave me a fingerprint reader? There's this gold square thing on the right side of my keyboard...

Hard to say about the new Intel HD GPU. It seems that future models with come with integrated GPU along with the CPU. AMD is not not so far behind in this.

At least you got a good screen.

cheers ...
