LurkingJayhawks Benchmarks on 5690

Here are the marks I got off a reformat/OS reinstall, with all standard settings and drivers. No tweaking done. I'm happy. These blow out the marks I got on the XPS I had for a short time. I did all 3 Back to back to back. The fans stayed at a low idle for the whole time, the bottom really didn't get hot at all. The left side exhaust was noticably warm, but by no means hot.

I will not OC the card with this performance, plus from the coments Adam made, it is clocked just right base on his testing, so no, I will not OC.

3dMark03:
3877

Aquamark:
GFX - 3780
CPU - 9186
31,358

31.36 fps
9,439,334 tps

3dMark01:
13,236

edit 1 - forgot the specs
Processor: 3.4GHZ P4 800 FSB W/ HT
Video: 128MB ATI Radeon 9700 (M11)
RAM: 1024MB 400DDR Dual Channel (2-512MB)
Hard Drive: 60GB 7200RPM

I've read some of your old XPS posts. I was thinking about XPS or 5690- besides better benchmarks on the 5690, is the 5690 screen quality equal to the 1900x1200 XPS? That is if you get a samsung screen on the XPS

4speed,

I'm really sorry about the late response, I didn't notice there was a reply in here until today when I was pulling info out for a review. If it is still a question. I really prefer the screen of the 5690. I did a review today on the 5690 that I will be posting shortly that draws some comparisons to the iXPS, including the screen. Should be withing the hour.

Again,
Sorry about the late response.
