Brand New LATITUDE E6410 Freezing up

Thread Starter
We have had this LATITUDE E6410 for less than three weeks and everytime we go to use it (surfing and working in office applications, etc.) it freezes. Nothing works and the mouse will not move.
How can we get it to function properly. Does the DELL website have any updates or fixes that anyone may be aware of that general users may not have access to.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions or ideas.

I suggest you check the Dell Site goto to the support section and select drivers option and update your chipset, BIOS, and Video drviers.

You should also run the Dell diagnostics, as the problem could be hardware - and i would suspect the memory.

Hello everybody. I would appreciate if you could kindly share the solution you found for this problem coz I think this is becoming more common with the people having Latitude E6410.

I had the same problem. I tried updating drivers and it didn´t work. I tried reinstalling the operative system (xp first and windows 7 later) and the problem continued. I changed the hard disk and reinstalled windows 7 again and nothing. I changed the RAM too without success. Only when a dell technician changed the motherboard the problem finished

Seems like the only solution, from what I gathered from other forums as well - motherboard failure. Thanks for the input Locascio
