Hi,
On my (damaged) Dell XPS M1330 from 2008 I had the CORE 2 DUO T9300 2.50GHZ processor.
On the free replacement Dell is offering me (Studio XPS 16 - no Studio XPS 13 anymore?) they are saying I have to take an Intel i3.
So is that a suitable improvement in performance over the old processor?
I'm not much of a gamer, I'll be using it for movies (HD) and some development work using MS Visual Studio.NET and maybe Java in Eclipse....
The OS on the replacement will be Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.
If I decide to pay for an upgrade to say, an Intel i5, how much would I expect to pay?
thanks for any comments or advice
Philip
