LTN154AT07 LCD

have a cracked LCD in a Toshiba Satellite 1520. Is there a reason I cannot use the same part LTN154AT07 from a Lenovo?

I would say the exact same part number regardless of where it came from should work..I assume the connector cable is in the same location etc..it should be given its the same part#

That's incorrect. Even if it has the same part # the connectors are different in each laptop let alone each brand. So it MAY work but more often than not it won't.
