screen dust

i found with the new laptop that if i leave the protective film on the screen - there is NO dust.
must be a static thing.
will it harm the laptop? overheat?

no i don't want to remove it to see the difference cos it probably wont go back on!

You can leave it on if you so choose They sell LCD protective film for a reason don't they?

I use projector folios, the type that you write on to make presentations on old fashioned projectors, to protect my screens Just cut it off and place it underneath the LCD frame, help preventing scratching as well.

Not apart, just the top part of the frame.

Gonna be tough to find some folio with those size The screws holding the frame are underneath the rounded plastic cover, pry them up and you can access to them. You only need the size to be 1-2mm into the frame and you are set,
