Acer 9300 won't post

Hi

I'm looking for some advice, I've got a 9300 that won't post, when I connect the ac with or with out the battery in it comes on with out pressing the power button. I get the power light only.

If I disconnect the power and press and hold the power button and insert the ac, wait a few seconds then let go of the power it comes on, the fan spins up and the power light flashed green and orange, the battery light flashes and the wifi light is on.

I've had it in picies and tested the memory CPU etc.

Any advice on what I could be?

I'm not having much luck I've got this laptop and a hp dv9000 the worst series of laptops for cooling, both dead!!

Looks like a dead motherboard to me....

sounds like a bad mainboard.
