Dell XPS Studio 1640 Processor & Video Card Upgrades?

All,

I have a Dell XPS Studio 1640 laptop with the P8600 (2.5) and the ATI Radeon Mobile 3670 graphics card.

I would like to goto the P or T (can't remeber which letter) 9800 (2.93; preferrable) or the 9900 (3.03) CPUs with the ATI Mobile 4670 prahics card.

Do you see any problems with this?

Thanks.

I don't see any issues with it if they are upgradable. For the CPU I would stay with the P series - less heat and power requirements

As long as I stay with the 478 pin socket P and no more than 35 watts (no quad core cpus thay are 45 wattts) I think I should be OK. Any thought on the graphics card?

ATI HD3670 and HD4670 are pretty much in the same class as far as performance concerns, so unless you can get it for real cheap, I personally would not be bothered with the exchange.

Released early January 2009, it features a 15.6-inch 720p or a 16.0-inch 1080p 16:9  screen. It is equipped with either a 512MB ATI Radeon HD 3670 or 1024MB ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics card, an inter code 2 processor, a DVD+/- RW or a Blu-ray ROM combo drive, and window 7. It has an illuminated keyboard and leather accents on the lid are optional. Its full body is onyx black and silver.
