Boxing = Shipping from building facility in Malaysia, this will normally take 2-3days. From there, estimate 2-5days for delivery from Texas or Nashville...

malaysia? didnt know that

part of delay is that your box dosn't ship out when its done, it goes out when a whole shipping container is filled

Typically Inspirons are shipped out of Malaysia and the Latitudes arrive from Ireland. I'm in the U.S. and I received the D800 from the Irish Dell Plant.

Youll know when you get your dell where it came from when you see a sticker on the box, either "Assembled in Malaysia" or I assume "Assembled in Ireland"

it went out of pre-production on april 29th so it should be on that later part of boxing... today was the first time i checked it because my mom had all the information but i didn't ask her for it until now

How old are you?
You should never mention your mom on these boards! Now we are all picturing you as either a 13 year old, covered in zits, drinking jolt, watching MTV and sneaking porn on your dell... or a 40 year old living with Mom doing the same thing but now you look like Cliff from Cheers.

U Cracking me up Stricky. Well man dont it get to you i didnt mean anything by it. well just to let u know i think on average everyone here is about 22-25. unless u make a poll asking people how old they are lol. Well to start off im 20 but im pretty mature for my age i guess cuz i always hang around people older then im. I have 3 co-workers in my job and they are all older then im they are 26-28-29 and im 20 Lol and mostly everyone in my work place hovers over those ages. there is about 5 people i can think of from the top of my head that are 20. in this company there is about 300 people (most of the people here are Customer service Agents.Well the is about 150 of them. then that rest is Human res, IT, accounting, Executeive, sell depart. ect.)

I'm 45 and a mom, and had to order my new I8600 with the WXGA screen to avoid reading glasses, but I'm young for my age

My unit was listed in testing last Friday, and arrived in western PA on monday, and must have been listed in boxing for only a few minutes.

It has a Samsung screen so I'm happy.

my first name is Erin; and I was, like, the first person on the planet to be named it; C-H are my last name initials; I was playing the original 8 bit Zelda when pregnant with my now 16 yo (who disappeared in his room with my new I8600, but is playing Diablo II rather than trying to find the bluetooth drivers like I asked him to so I can reformat the #$%^& thing); and my first computer was a "portable" compaq dos monster the size of a dog carrier with 2 megs of RAM and 20 meg on the hard drive and a detachable screen, which cost 5 grand. The next one had "all the hard drive you'll ever need"--80 megs -- which was partitioned into 3 drives, and I bet I was fighting with Sierra tech support to configure the EMM to run Kings' Quest off the 5.25 floppies while most of the oh-so-competent techies here were in diapers.

And--my mother's day present had better be a bluetooth mouse
