HP G60 wrecked- recovering the hard drives

I have a Hewlett-Packard G60-508US that's been completed wrecked. However, the hard drives are still intact, so I'm thinking of removing them and recovering the data. To this end, I have a few questions:

1. Which laptops would be compatible with those hard drives, other than for other HP G60's? I'm thinking of buying either a cheaper model or one with a built-in webcam.

2. What should I do with the secondary hard drive that is used for backing up stuff? I didn't ever use that in my G60.

Most (99%) notebooks would take that 2.5" SATA drive from your current HP.

Which of the HP G60 models are most recommendable?

Not sure which specific model from the Series, in a whole the G60 is okay. My G6000 worked well for almost 2 years before I traded it in.

cheers ...
