Another D600 boot problem.

Hi all,
Had a D600 that was working good. Battery was in fairly good condition and it would work ok on docking station, then when you would push power button - either on laptop or docking station when docked - the three led lights would come on green along with the battery light, but the neither fan, screen or anything else would work and the led's go out after about 2 seconds. Removed the ram, tried with no ram, then one stick then another - same result. Tried re-seating cpu, same problem.
If I leave it in docking station, green battery light is on and battery charges. Disassembled laptop, no signs of any problems. Tried flexing board, still same. Any ideas to look for before replacing mother board? Any chips or solder joints to check?
Regards

I would try baking the board, nothing to lose here.

Thanks ghn. How do you do that? I take it is to try to re-flow the solder? Can you do that at home?

Sure you can (at home that is). Search the forum for bake or baking. It should be fun.

cheers ...
