SL500 - Lenovo Care missing - Windows 7

Hi there!

Today, I've reinstalled my Windows 7 and after that intalled all necessary drivers. But when I did it, I noticed that Lenovo Care is missing.

When I press Lenovo Care button, Toolbox window appears... Moreover, the button isn't highlighted.

Do you know where can I download Lenovo Care for SL500 ?
Because I can't find it at this page:

Thx for your help

If you do a clean install of any operating system, no Lenovo utilities or programs would be with it.....The Lenovo utilities/programs that come with the initial install from the factory or would also be on the restore disks that came with the laptop or the ones you were supposed to make when you received the laptop

qhn, your link doesn't work... Thanks anyway :P

I've found Lenovo Care for SL500 and now when I press this button, Lenovo Care window appears.

But there's another issue:

As you can see, I can't light on/off my button (now it isn't highlighted). Those controls are greyed out...

Do you know why is that ?

(Yesterday I replaced my hard drive, but I don't think that this is the reason)...

I am not sure. It could be that Lenovo Care started but did not get all info from other drivers.

Someone told me that for Windows 7 to work (correctly) on this model is to upgrade it from Vista - this would ensure that Lenovo Care can still work.

cheers ...
