[E1705 M1730] Optical drive swap ??

can the optical drive out of a m1730 be used (fit very good/perfect) in a e1705

more specifically can the blu-ray reader from a m1730 be used as a blu-ray reader in a e1705


if so, upgrading the m1730 from a blu-ray 'reader' to a 'writer' just become more cost efficient

It should work. I upgrade a few comps with blu-ray reader/burner with just over the counter devices with no issue, Dell swap should be transparent.
