Asus Pro50 crashing

Dear all,

I am having issues with my Asus Pro 50 - at first I thought it was overheating and purchased a cooling station but it keeps on crashing. I have had it for approximately 24 months.

Configuration consists of:

- Duo T5900 CPU
- 320 GB HD
- 4 GB memmory
- F5SR M/B
- Radeon HD 3470 ; 512 MB VRAM

I am not sure what to do.. can anyone advise on how to stop this system from crashing?

Thank-you

Can you expand a bit more about what crashing means?

- hang?
- shut down on its own?
- when would it happen?
- your OS?
- ...

cheers ...

Sure
It shuts down on its own after a certain amount of hours of usage; I am using Vista.

It particularly crashes when I play a game such as Football Manager or World in Conflict online.

What should I do?

Thank-you

Have you considered taking it apart and give it a good cleaning and applying new thermal paste, giving that it is being 2 years old?
