keyboard issue

I have an IBM T42. One of the keys (the G) requires extra force, making touch-typing impossible. What are my options to fix this problem? I'm not afraid to disassemble I've built several desktops), but I'm not familiar with DIY notebook repairs.

Thanks

You can try to use some canned compressed air and blow underneath the keys. Hope it helps. It is usually the start of a failing keyboard, eventually.

Thanks. I have some compressed air at work. I found T42 keyboards on eBay. How much trouble is the install? Hopefully no soldering!

No soldering involved, but be careful when removing the ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard socket. Don't brutalize it
