Acer Aspire 6920G Not Starting Up and Cant boot from CD/DVD either

Hi my brother used my laptop and restarted the laptop after some update and it didnt start after that it only gets to the "Launch windows repair" and "Start windows normallY" options.

When I hit launch it just goes back to the same menu and when I hit start it restarts and comes back to the same menu.

I have made a Recovery cd AND ALSO a full OS DVD which I can use to install the OS again.

The thing is when I out the CD or DVD in and hit F10 or F12 to enter bios to boot from CD drive theres no bios.

I also entered the "Edit boot options" menu but then its says:

Edi windows boot options for: Microsoft Windows Vista

Path: \windows\system32\winload.exe

Partition: 1

Hard Disk: 222eb0b9

[ /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN


Thats all it says..so Do i need to type in a command or if not what do I got to do to get to boot from my CD or DVD?

Just wondering if your brother let windows update complete its task...you know where the warning comes up dont turn off your computer while updating stage 1 to stage 2 and then finally stage 3

I think thats what he hid FROM ME and didnt tell me. But I think yeah he did that...

Have you tried Alt F10 and try the restore that way????
