Go 7900GTX Drivers Windows 7?

I can get modified drivers to install, but not the official NVIDIA mobile drivers, when I try to install them it says that I'm running a card which isnt supported by the drivers and also it doesn't list the 7900GTX as a supported card on NVIDIA's site either, yet the 7900GS and 7950GTX are supported! Anyone else had this issue or know how to solve it? Thanks

EDIT: NBF Drivers have the same issue and if I try to install the GPU manually in device manager, it then lists all the GPU's supported and once again no 7900GTX!?! But they do have 7900GS, 7900SE & 7950GTX

EDIT 2: Windows Update thinks my 7900GTX is a "Quadro NVS 510m", but the BIOS on my XPS clearly states it is a 7900GTX, after some googling it seems this has happened to a lot of people with the 7900GTX.

The only drivers I can get to install are the laptopvideo2go drivers and these dont work very well.

you could always flash the 7950 BIOS on the 7900GTX if I recall that was the only difference bewteen these two cards.

or edit the inf file and add the device ID for your card (copy the one from the working driver) to the newer NVIDIA drivers.

thanks for the reply, I actually started with a 7900GS and flashed it to a 7900GTX, I got a driver working eventually but the driver had a few issues with windows 7. after seeing minimal increase of performance in games I decided to flash it back to a 7900GS for better driver support. Good idea though about the device ID, maybe at some point I will give this another try, thanks.
