Satellite L455D not starting or responding to recovery CD

Thread Starter
I have a Toshiba L455D-S5976 running Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit.

It has been working fine since I bought it in April, but it has stopped loading.

I have tried using the Launch Startup Repair feature, but it only led me to a message that says Status: 0xc00000e9 Info: An unexpected I/O error has occurred.

I have tried using the Windows 7 installation DVD, booting it from the disk it takes me to the Window asking for what language to install it in, and after clicking next, it doesn't do anything.

I have tried a recovery CD, but all that did was take me to a screen with a cursor and a background.

Starting Windows normally only takes me to the part where I see the Windows 7 logo moving, and does nothing after that.

Using Safe Mode does nothing after the Loading Windows files page.

Can someone please help me with knowing what is wrong with my laptop? I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

Do you have any thumbdrivers plugged in, external HDs,
Curious; were you or are you running an up to date Anti-virus, if so what???

No thumb drives or external hds. I did have a very up to date antivirus last time I used it. Viruses and malware never were problems since I bought it.

Still under warranty? I'll take it back then, if not probably the hard drive is failing.

cheers ...
