Sager 5690 and i-go power adapters

I'm a proud new owner of a Sager laptop. After going the rounds with Dell, Sony, Gateway and Fuji, I can say I FINALLY have a laptop that competes with a desktop. I love it.

However....I'm trying to find a compatible power tip for my i-go (www.igo.com) juice adapter, and the 5690 is not yet listed.

I'm hoping someone out there knows a previous sager model number that may apply. I'm guessing they've used this particular chassis (case) before.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Suposedly using a power inverter is a bad idea with such a powerful notebook. Just get the adapter made for the laptop, i think they sell it at PCTorque. Im assuming that you mean a car adapter too since I dont know what a power tip is and you are talking about mobile electronics.

Thanks for your reply...

It's not an inverter..it's just a 3rd party universal power adapter that is 1/2 the size of the manufacturers power adapters. It has 'power tips' specifically designed for different laptops.

I did alot of testing on it with my previous laptops and never had an issue. The specs on it are well within requirements specified on the sager power adapter.

At any rate, I appreciate the feedback.

If you are using the I-Go Juice adaptor, it will probably not work with the SAGER 5690. That requires 120 watts, 6 amps at 20 volts. The Juice output is only 70 watts and I can't tell what the voltage output is. If you don't match the two, you could end up damaging either or both. That is, of course, assuming you can get a tip to match. However, SAGER uses a special plug that is quite unique. They do not list compatibility with any SAGER nor any machine that is similar to a SAGER.
