Yep, it's your LCD. It's a known problem with the i9200, i9300, m170 /Gen2. There was a recall a couple of years ago, which obviously, you didn't know about and missed.
I too had this issue but didn't find out about the recall until it was over.
I found an excellent quality replacement on eBay for about a hundred bucks from a company in the UK. I received the exact model LCD that was being sent as replacements under the recall. It came as a complete unit with backlight and inverter. It was easy to install into my lid and has worked flawlessly ever since.
If you decide to replace be aware that all LCDs and sellers are not created equal. Some sell just the LCD without inverter and backlight which requires you to disassemble your current screen for parts..... Not the easiest thing to do.
So do some research.
