Help pls with M7700 is it dead MB or Video

Hey my M7700 died almost a year ago (V5.3 MB) Black Screen no activity only plays music CDs. I recently got a V6.1N MB off of Ebay and spent 4 hours swaping it in...I boot up and had some DVD drive activity and the Hard Drive light flickered a little then nothing still Black screen...But I notice the clock in the front is active again (I think before the clock was always staying at zeros but I dont feel like blowing another 4 hours to put my old MB back in)

So is this new MB also shot or is it my video card that is shot this time? (I did try external monitor so I know its not screen)

Its hard to say its like there are any beep codes and what not is there any way I can tell which it is before I go and buy a new Video card?

are you able to enter the BIOS?

if not, try to boot with only one memory module installed at a time
