Toshiba Laptop L355-S7905 will not boot up

Hello this is my first post here.

I have a Toshiba Laptop L355-S7905 that is stuck on the POST screen and will not boot up. I had to do a hard/forced shutdown and now it will not make it past the POST. The F2,F8,F12,Esc,DEL will not work.

I have switched the ram sticks, I have done holding the power button to release the charge, i have taken out the cmos battery and put it back in, I have tried the bootable flash bios on cd and flashdrive (but Im not sure I made them right, I've never made a bootable cd or flash drive) and still have the same problem.

It is a Tri-boot system with Win 7, Ubuntu 10.04 and Fedora 12. I have used all the cds and still nothing. There have been no hardware changes in the last 5 months. I was running Ubuntu when I had to do the forced shutdown. I have taken out the HD and placed into another system and the HD is fine.

Is there something I have not tried?

PS Thanks for any replies and help.

I'm thinking possible bad HDD, You might also want to check and make sure that the HDD is seated properly....Boot order not returned to default

The laptop does not even make it to the hard drive. I have started it without the hardrive in and same problem. I have put the harddrive in another system and works ok.

Any other suggestions?

About the only thing I can think of is to try the recovery Disks and go back to square 1...if that doesnt work it may be a registry issue...hang on someone else may have another suggestion which is less drastic

It might work in another system but not this one. I would give another hard drive a shot, if you have a spare somewhere.

cheers ...
